We've heard a lot about the new materials from the BBC, formerly known as the Digital Curriculum but renamed and rebranded as "Jam" for the launch. From a languages point of view there are excellent materials for French which are very graphically appealing. I saw these a fortnight ago down at BETT and they looked good. Only problem is that they've been crashing my Mac tonight... No doubt I'll get to see them soon properly. Visit BBC Jam by clicking here.
The French content is absolute dross. Terrible interface design and poor learning design. Unusable. This is a wasted opportunity.

Donald Clark is right. The designers of BBC Jam French have learned nothing from the 30-years of experience of designers of computer assisted language learning materials. 150 million pounds worth of licence payers' money wasted on BBC Jam! Money for Jam!
