Slightly worrying how CNN rearranged France recently when reporting on the rioting... not only did they move a few cities, but they seemed to have extended the country to take in most of Switzerland, half of Austria and a fair chunk of Germany. Lille is now a lovely seaside town, Cannes and Lyons have moved about 200km west, Toulouse is now a beautiful Alpine town in the north of Italy, and best of all, Strasbourg is that little known Austrian town where apparently half of the Sound of Music was filmed.

Oh dear oh dear oh dear! I really do wonder sometimes where these American news programs get their information from...never ceases to amaze me lol. It's kind of hard to imagine how they went so far wrong!

This is really worrying!! How on earth are people supposed to know where places are when sites like this cannot get it right? I certainly never saw the sea when we were in Lille!!

Wow! All that time I thought I was living in Souillac I was really living in Lyon! ...apparently. It's little wonder people know nothing about geography if such a high-profile site as CNN can get it so completely wrong. If I'd known I was living so close to Cannes I would've gone for a day trip... ;-p
