Ros kindly pointed out in response to an earlier post that the word for Scotland is 苏格兰 sū gé lán. I guess this means that Scottish (person) is 苏格兰人 sū gé lán rén. In which case the phrase I was trying to find earlier in response to Graham's discussion is:
不是英国人,我是苏格兰人!
bú shì ying guó rén. wǒ shì sū gé lán rén.
(I'm not English, I'm Scottish).
Now I'm counting on the support of everyone for this adventure, so I'd better stop there!
